About the Author
JACK WHYTE, who was recently awarded an
honorary Doctor of Letters (D. Litt.) for
his contribution to Canadian popular
fiction, was born in Scotland and emigrated
to Canada in 1967. He is an actor, orator,
singer and poet. Five titles have been
published in his critically acclaimed Dream
of Eagles series: The Skystone, The
Singing Sword, The Eagles Brood, The Saxon
Shore and The Sorcerer, which was
published in two volumes: The Fort at
River’s Bend and Metamorphosis.
Uther and Clothar the Frank
are companions to this series. Jack Whyte
lives in Kelowna, British Columbia, and is
at work on his next novel, The Eagle.
